Honoring HERITAGE
History and heritage matter.
Many of Cactus’ wells have been producing for more than thirty years. First oil at our Wildcat Jim Penn Unit in southern Oklahoma came in June 1945 – two months before the close of World War II. Our Bakken wells in Williams County, North Dakota came online in 1959/1960, nearly a half century before the tight oil revolution transformed the region.
Unlike shale’s intense boom-bust cycles which see “hot money” flow in and out of local economies based on short-term WTI prices, our business is built differently: small, steady investment to maintain production on low-breakeven wells that have brought decades of consistent economic benefit to rural communities across America.
We’re in it for the long haul.

CUSTODIANS for the future
Providing the capital that keeps the oil flowing.
We’re proud to be the latest in a long line of custodians of historic assets.
The wells in our portfolio have cumulatively produced tens of millions of barrels of crude oil
and hundreds of millions of cubic feet of gas since coming online, helping power the American
economy.
Through disciplined capital injection and partnership with strong operators, we expect these
wells will continue to produce steadily for generations to come.

Preserving LEGACIES
The human stories behind our assets.
We are conscious of the rich human history of our assets and look to honor those legacies wherever
possible.
The man behind our eponymous gas well in Monroe County, Mississippi – Doctor Rome Turner (“RT”)
Dabbs – was an Ole Miss alumnus who served honorably as a doctor in the Pacific Theater during World
War II and safely delivered more than 10,000 babies during his lifetime of service as a physician in
Aberdeen, Mississippi. The image above shows Aberdeen’s Main Street as Dr. Dabbs would have known it
during his lifetime.
He was much loved by his community.
We were able to procure a prescription written by Dr. Dabbs in 1951 which hangs proudly in a frame
in our central office as a small nod of appreciation to the ones who have gone before us.
